James McKay - Executive Chairman

James McKay is the Chairman and co-founder of Walcot Capital.
James McKay is the former Chairman of successful Coal Seam Gas
explorer Sunshine
Gas Limited, which was taken over by QCG/BG for over $1 billion
in 2008. He is also the Chairman of Comet
Ridge Limited, a listed Australian Resource Company.
James has also been involved with the founding of, and capital
raising for, a number of other significant
companies including Tlou Energy Limited, a southern Africa
focused coal seam gas company and a privately-owned
funeral services group with interests in two cemeteries and
crematoria. He is a past president of the Australasian
Cemeteries and Crematoria Association, having served on its
board for over 8 years.
James has a strong commercial background, with sound finance,
investment markets, business management
and legal expertise. He holds both Bachelor of Commerce and
Bachelor of Law degrees from the University
of Queensland.

Christopher Pieters - Managing Director & Chief Executive

Chris is Managing Director and co-founder of Walcot Capital.
Prior to that he was Chief
Commercial Officer of Sunshine Gas Limited where he was a key
member of the team that built
the company before its takeover by Queensland Gas Company in
2008. Chris also held other
technical and business development roles whilst at Sunshine Gas
Limited.
Chris is an Executive Director of Comet Ridge (an ASX listed CBM
company) and was formerly a non-executive director of Tlou
Energy (an ASX listed CBM company with interests in southern
Africa) and a former director of Taurus Gold (a privately owned
West African gold company).
Chris holds both Bachelor of Science (Geology) and Bachelor of
Business degrees from The
University of Queensland and a First Class Honours degree in
Petroleum Geology and Geophysics
from the Australian School of Petroleum in Adelaide.

Anthony (Tony) Gilby
|

Anthony (Tony) Gilby was a founding director of Walcot Capital
along with Chris Pieters and James
McKay. He has a broad background in the oil and gas industry
ranging from technical through to corporate.
He was previously co-founder and CEO of Sunshine Gas Limited
which was taken over by QCG/BG for over $1 billion
in 2008. Prior to Sunshine Gas, he worked in a variety of
technical roles for a number of large operating
companies including ESSO/Exxon. He obtained First Class Honours
in Geology as well as the University Medal
in Geology from the University of Adelaide in 1983. Tony is the
Managing Director and CEO of Tlou Energy and was formerly a
Director of Comet Ridge.
Specific expertise includes petroleum geology/geophysics,
prospect generation, operations as well as
corporate finance/capital markets and mergers/acquisitions.
